3 Things that I Accomplished this Week

1: I was able to read through all of my secondary sources in order to create my literature review that will help me write my argumentation in my paper.

2: I was able to compile a list of all of the letters that are related tom my topic which will help me write my paper and poster, as well as supplying me with the data for my GIS map.

3: I completed my methodology which helps to determine how exactly I will use all of my sources in my paper, poster, and GIS map.

3 Things that I Struggled with this Week

1: I struggled to convert my list of letters to useable GIS data because they are missing their geographical coordinates.

2: I struggled to put together my literature reviews because the format that we did them in is different than the way that I typically structure my literature reviews.

3: I struggled with GIS this week because the program kept crashing, and I was struggling to understand how we were using the program.

3 Thing that I Learned this Week

1: I learned how to make effective graphs and posters to visualize my data and research.

2: I got more practice in with GIS so that I'm more comfortable with the program.

3: I learned how to write a proper methodology and how it is used in an academic field.

Next Step for my Research Project

I need to clean up my letter dataset so that can be used my GIS, and then I need to start creating some maps of the Freedmen's Bureau's activities throughout Mississippi so that I build of the original map.
